It was a fun day with lots of new faces being introduced
to Pines. Everyone showed up with enthusiasm and
together painted the entire covered walkway on "Make a
Difference Day"! |
Beverage
Servers
in Pines' Dining
Room |
This is a
fun job in our main dining room. You roll the beverage
cart to each table and offer coffee, tea, hot chocolate,
assorted juices, water, and milks to our residents. It's
a great way to brighten up the dining experience for the
residents. They look forward to seeing you and chatting
with you. Needed daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner |
Visit
One-on-One
with Pines'
Residents |
Visit with
Pines' residents on a one-on-one basis. Chat about
current events, read articles or a book, look at family
photos, write letters for them. Needed daily between meals. |
Assist
Wheelchair
Travel on Pines'
Campus |
Wheel
residents around campus to the Dining Room,
Activities Building, Physical Therapy, Hair Salon, Pines
Bank, and
outside on the covered walkway. It's a huge help to
residents. Needed daily (7 AM to 7 PM). |

Helpers |
Make a
difference here by helping our staff in their offices.
Filing, making copies, scanning documents, etc. We'd
appreciate help in the offices too! |

Outings |
Join our
Activities staff on our Pines' bus in taking Residents
on planned "outings" to places like Mote Marine, Lowry
Zoo, Jungle Gardens, Selby Gardens, Lunch at Red
Lobster, Players Theater, etc. |
Hair Salon
Assistant
at Pines |
Assist the
Hair Salon by answering phone, taking reservations,
polishing nails (no cutting or filing); wheeling
residents to and from their appointment. Needed Monday
through Thursday (9 AM to 4 PM) |
Assistant
to
Pines' Physical
& Occupational
Therapy |
Assist by
wheeling residents to and from the Rehab Center for
their scheduled appointment. Volunteer gets to interact
with the residents and therapists during the session. A
great opportunity to learn about therapy and
disabilities and ways to improve quality of life. Needed
9 AM to 11:30 AM (Mon - Fri) |
Cards &
Games
Player with
Pines' Residents |
Come and
play your favorite board game or card game with our
Residents. This is a fun social activity for everyone.
Needed daily between meals. |
Escort to
Pines' Thrift
Shop |
Assist by
wheeling a resident to and from our Thrift Shop via our
covered walkway. Hold merchandise and help move around
the store. Thrift Shop Hours are Tuesday through
Saturday (10 AM to 3:45 PM.) |

If you
would like to bring a group to do a monthly Bingo, we
will supply the quarters for the prizes! The residents
LOVE Bingo and this would be a nice way to come once a
month and get to know the residents. |
