Our team of staff, volunteers, & worker elves worked tirelessly for days to prepare for our Breakfast with Santa. This event was like no other! Usually, our events are either for residents or the staff, but this sunny December morning, we all came together to share in the Christmas celebration. Dozens of children, their parents, residents, & staff lined the sidewalks and parking lots anxiously awaiting Santa’s arrival.

In all of the songs and Christmas stories, Santa arrives on a sleigh. It’s loaded with gifts and driven by reindeer. Per usual Pines fashion, a snow sleigh simply wouldn’t do – this is Florida, after all. Our jolly Santa came riding upon a vintage fire engine, horns blaring and hands waving! He was quite the sight to see riding past our Physical Therapy Center towards the crowd gathered at the Pavilion, then around to our Assisted Living Facility.

Kids from one to 92 – and older – cheered with excitement as the parade filled with Elf-mobiles, sports cars, puppies, & even Spider-Man led Santa through our campus. After the waving and the cheering, Santa found his way to Cullers Hall where the Christmas breakfast feast awaited. A Starbucks hot chocolate & coffee bar, Christmas tattoos, a decorate-your-own-Christmas-cookie station, a snow play station, and other Christmas-themed treats were available for families and friends.

Every child that attended received a picture with Santa and an opportunity to whisper their secret Christmas wish in his ear. They then got to choose a gift – selected for them and specially wrapped by our volunteers and HR staff – to take home, as their first gift of the season.

Our campus including Cullers Hall, break rooms, golf carts, & more was transformed for this very special holiday event. We can’t think of a better way to kick off the Christmas season!
