with the care they need, and the love they deserve.
Every year, more than 50% of skilled nursing residents at Pines have outlived their financial resources and are dependent on Medicaid. These seniors are men and women whose funds have been depleted by their time in nursing care, despite a lifetime of working and saving.
All Pines residents receive the same care no matter their financial position, but Medicaid does not cover the entire cost of that care, leaving Pines with a shortfall of approximately $1 Million annually or $7,500 per resident.
Pines of Sarasota Foundation is dedicated to ensuring that Pines can continue to care for all its residents. And that even those who outlive their financial resources can stay, because Pines is their home.
