PINES OF SARASOTA FOUNDATION BOARD WELCOMES TWO NEW TRUSTEES AND ANNOUNCES OFFICERS

Sarasota, FL: Pines of Sarasota Foundation is proud to announce the addition of two new trustees, Richard Angelotti and Bruce Rakay, and the 2017 slate of officers for their all-volunteer Board of Trustees. The Foundation is a 501(c)3 charged with generating philanthropic support for the endowment, capital and programmatic needs of Pines of Sarasota, Inc.

The new trustees for the PINES OF SARASOTA FOUNDATION BOARD:

Richard (Dick) H. Angelotti is the President/CEO of The Advisor Management Group. He was previously the Chief Executive Officer of Global Financial Asset Management and served as Senior Vice President of Morgan Keegan from February 1999 to August 2003. He has over 35 years of experience in the financial industry, and has held executive positions for major investment firms such as Northern Trust Bank of Sarasota, Bank of Boston in Florida, UBS Paine Webber, and Morgan Keegan. Drawing on his 13 years of experience as a practicing attorney, he has specialized his investment strategy to work with his clients on estate planning, tax planning, insurance needs, and annuities. Dick has served as a Director of Phantom Entertainment, Inc. (formerly known as Infinium Labs Inc.) since January 5, 2004. He served as a Director of Infinium Labs Inc.’s predecessor, Infinium Labs Operating Corporation, since its formation and has been a Director since the merger. Mr. Angelotti served as a Director of Global Business Resources Inc. Mr. Angelotti graduated from the University of Notre Dame, and received his Juris Doctor from the Loyola University of Law.

Dick has served on several boards; Mote Marine Laboratory for 15 years (2 years as Chairman), Sarasota Family YMCA for 12 years (2 as President), Sarasota Ballet 21 years (2 as President), Asolo Theater Co. for 8 years, and The Juliard School for 3 years. Dick Angelotti was twice named Sarasota’s Man of the Year.Bruce J. Rakay has been an attorney for more than forty years, graduating from Boston University School of Law. After nine years in the Office of the Attorney General of Ohio, where he eventually became the second highest-ranking law enforcement official in Ohio, he was engaged in private business law practice in Cleveland and Columbus.

Bruce’s first commercial real estate acquisition was in 1978. He began developing real estate projects in 1989 including mobile home parks, self-storage facilities, and retail buildings.  In 1992, Bruce began developing free standing, single-tenant drugstores for the Rite Aid Corporation, CVS Corporation, Eckerd Corporation and the Walgreens Co.  Bruce has designed, constructed and placed into operation more than 325 drugstore facilities for these national companies.

The Rakay Family Foundation was created in 2006 to aid local and national charitable organizations including those that aid and support family and children`s services, care for the elderly, cancer research, youth athletic programs, university programs, humane animal treatment and Shakespearean theatre.  Since 2013 the Foundation has distributed more than $3,500,000 for these charitable purposes.
