PRESS RELEASE

December 13, 2016 – Pines of Sarasota Foundation President Estelle Crawford announces the hiring of Janet K. Ginn, CFRE, as Director of Development.

Ginn has spent more than 30 years inspiring and assisting individuals to meet their charitable desires. She has lead in every area of Development as well as CEO of multimillion dollar organizations. Her career has allowed her to assist individuals in 32 countries and the 50 United States serving as a guardian of philanthropy.

“We are thrilled to welcome Janet to Pines of Sarasota Foundation,” Crawford shared. “Throughout our 68 year history, Pines of Sarasota has been committed to serving this community. Today, in addition to skilled nursing and assisted living, Pines offers in and out-patient rehabilitation therapy, education for professionals and family members in the United States and internationally who are caring for those with dementia, a falls prevention program, and pre-school for children of staff as well as the broader community.  What has never changed at Pines is our support of residents even after they have outlived their financial resources.  Indeed, we care for the largest number of those residents in all of Southwest Florida. As Director of Development on the foundation team, Janet will focus her considerable talent on raising funds so that we can continue to provide these services long into the future.”

Ginn brings to Pines of Sarasota Foundation a professional history of building relationships and meeting the family, financial and social needs of donors while building organizational sustainability.  She has served as trustee for more than 1600 charitable instruments and 800 named funds. She was awarded the prestigious “Arkansas Traveler” designation by then-Arkansas’ Governor Mike Huckabee, signifying her as an international ambassador for the state of Arkansas. She is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE), Rotarian and Paul Harris Fellow and a graduate of the Strategic Perspectives in Nonprofit Management Course at Harvard Business School.

“I am both humbled and honored to be joining such a remarkable organization and look forward to many years of service to the community through my work with Pines of Sarasota Foundation,” stated Ginn.  “I am passionate about the mission and vision of Pines of Sarasota Foundation as it is one that touches my heart and the lives of so many. I am excited to play a part in the continued success of this life changing organization.”
